Analyst / Researcher – Biofuels & Environmental

The client has been operating just short of a decade with strong coverage of the Biofuels and Emissions markets – developing new futures contracts and Executing business in the physical and derivative sectors. Due to the success of the business we are seeking a Researcher / Analyst to join their team in London to cover the Physical Biofuels markets & Carbon Credits Sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analyse the European Physical Biofuels Markets (Biodiesel, Feedstocks, Ethanol, Biogas etc)
  • Produce market reports on Trends of products within the Biofuels space across the European Market (Spain, Italy, Germany, France, UK etc.)
  • Provide Biofuels price reports using research houses data from the likes of Platts, Argus etc to provide vital information to the sales traders and senior management.
  • Day to Day monitoring and reporting on the Emissions markets, REC’s, EUA’s, Carbon Emission Allowances, Carbon Offsetting, Biogas Certificates.
  • Work with senior management on identifying new markets / geographies for the company to continue to expand their presence within.

Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in the Energy space as an Analyst preferable experience within the Biofuels or Renewables space.
  • Good understanding of the European Biofuels markets across (Biodiesel, Feedstocks, Ethanol, Biogas) along with understanding of European Carbon Credits sector.
  • Strong Analytical skills, With ability to produce informative reports of the back of large data sources.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced environment with clear communication with front office and management teams.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial Italian, French, Spanish, German etc.)

Responsibilities:

Metal Ores Operations Specialist
